1) What does “making your move” mean to you at this stage of your career?
To me, making my move means standing behind the skills and knowledge I’ve acquired along the way. Speaking up to prove my worth and backing that up with confidence. Strive for growth, leave your comfort zone.
2) Can you share a moment when you took action that moved your career forward?
I left a comfortable job that I absolutely loved with a team I considered family to expand my skillset, challenge myself in new ways, and open more doors.
3) What helped you recognize the right time to make that move?
I stopped learning new things. I wasn’t challenging myself anymore, so I took a chance and chose growth. It did not pay off at first, but I stuck with it and know I’m on the right path now.
4) What advice would you give women in print who are considering their next move?
Keep educating yourself; you can never learn too much, and the print industry is always changing and evolving. Carve out the time to invest in yourself, even if it’s hard- it’s worth it!
