1) What does “making your move” mean to you at this stage of your career?
At this stage, making my move isn’t about changing roles — it’s about deepening impact. Moving beyond execution toward stronger strategic contribution: strengthening systems, improving outcomes, and creating measurable progress.
I still deeply love the tangible craft of print — how an idea moves from concept and design to paper, color, and finishing, becoming something you can hold. But I’m equally motivated by building the structure behind that work so it performs as beautifully as it looks.
For me right now, “making a move” means continuing to grow where I am — expanding my capability and perspective while aligning my strengths with the areas that will drive the most meaningful progress.
2) Can you share a moment when you took action that moved your career forward?
Stepping into ownership of our CRM evolution has been one of those stretches.
It wasn’t glamorous — it meant messy data, dashboards, hard questions, and working to embed it more fully into how we operate. The foundation is in place, and while systems change takes time, committing to that long game has strengthened my resilience and deepened my understanding of how culture and performance intersect.
3) What helped you recognize the right time to make that move?
Recognizing some gaps and a desire to improve outcomes, along with the awareness that stronger systems would benefit both the organization and my role.
I knew the work was necessary and would require long-term commitment and consistency, so I chose to step into that responsibility.
4) What advice would you give women in print who are considering their next move?
• Don’t underestimate the power of continuous improvement.
• Learn the business side — data, workflow, margins, systems.
• Expect meaningful change to take longer than you think. Stay steady.
• Focus on growth over recognition.
• Keep learning. Always.
• Approach your current role as preparation — the skills you’re building today are shaping the opportunities you’ll be ready for tomorrow.
Making your move doesn’t always require a dramatic shift. Sometimes it’s the quiet commitment to expand your skills and elevate your contribution — right where you are.
What has your experience with Girls Who Print meant to you so far?
My experience with Girls Who Print has been both valuable and inspiring. The willingness of women across the field to share knowledge and support one another is something I truly value.
While I’m not always able to attend the live events, I’m grateful for the replays and the opportunity to continue learning from the conversations and insights shared. It’s also exciting to see the organization evolve into a 501(c)(3), expanding its ability to support and elevate women across the print industry.
